'Red alert’ by Vincent van Oss

Materials: Red perspex plate on top of a showcase

 with a decorative mirror at the bottom placed on an old wooden box

I was working on this wooden box and showcase of which the bottom was reflecting. To make the reflection stronger I put a mirror at the bottom. As I put the red perspex plate on top I saw the reflection of the red on the whole. The mirror with the bulges now had this threatening corona virus look. And it has this look every time you come closer to see what’s inside the show case. So it’s a little monument to remember to be alert now and hopefully soon to remember as something terrible that happened in the past.
