Truly it all started with a doodle… I have always been a great “doodler” for as long as I can remember!

My series “Meditative Art” is the expression of the meditative mind creating from within, no intention, no pre-ideas of what it should look like, no external factors that make you want to create. You create because you are, just let it be, go with the flow of the energy within. Let it drive you and surrender, accept what is and own it. At least that is how the background of the painting is born; No mistakes, no need to resemble anything or anyone, let the creativity flow. When we create from the self, we create from a place of stillness a place of peace, just like the ocean.  Then, we add colors, letters that talk to us at that time, at that moment … no reasons, no explanations just going with the flow…

Lately, the intricate designs have been replaced by colorful threading. The use of threads can not only remind us how fragile life can be but also and most importantly how everything in this world is interconnected; our mood, our movements, our words, our smiles, our thoughts, our relationship… affect directly our planet and all living things. We are All ONE.

Born in the south of France, I studied Fine Arts in Aix en Provence. Citizen of the world, I taught elementary school in many countries and for many years. I started painting and taking photographs when I was about 12 and never stopped! I am a Reiki Master Practitioner, and founder of “The Joy Reiki Institute” in Westport, offering Reiki sessions and Yoga Nidra in order to restore physical and emotional balance in the body. I am also the proud Mother of 4 beautiful girls…. And Yes! With all that, believe it or not I still find the time to paint and create…

Born in Ukraine in 1968, Leonid (Len) Rozenberg immigrated to Canada in 1979. He finished high school in Cambridge, Ontario and received a Graphic Design Degree from Sheridan college in Oakville. He moved to Vancouver from Toronto in 2009. Leonid has over 30 years experience in the arts with various group and solo exhibitions in Canada and the US.

In addition to exhibitions and commissions, her currently delivers art courses for seniors through PARCLiving and for adults and youth through North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Community Centers. LR is a member of the Arts and Letters Club (Toronto), Seymore Art Gallery, and the North Vancouver Community Arts Council .
